It's all about Cheltenham

It is all about Cheltenham in March for racing fans as the event is now just a few months away as excitement continues to build. With prize money now having reached £1 million plus a day it is the key targeted event for connections over the jumps calendar. Day one’s highlight is the Champion hurdle as Buveur D’Air looks to defend his crown. The latest Cheltenham betting has the reigning Champion as the 8/13 favourite.

Ladies day (day two) is all about the Queen Mother Champion Chase and of course Altior. The horse has had a setback so could be heading to the race without a prep run but will still be expected to take all the beating as he finished with an RPR of 177 last season. Day three’s main race is the Stayers hurdle but this year it has a very open look to it. However the vastly improved Sam Spinner is likely to head the betting for the feature race.

The final day of the meeting is Gold Cup day where the top staying chasers race for the converted price. This year’s race has record prize money of £625,000 following the £50,000 increase.  The current favourite is the recent King George winner Might Bite ahead of last year’s victor Sizing John. Check out the infographic below to find out the key facts and horses in the main races come March.
