Win a season’s free admission to all 2009 Wessex Area point-to-points!
The Wessex Point-to-Point Area is sponsoring a free, easy to enter Six to Follow Competition for the 2008 Point-to-Point season. The competition is open to all and entrants are simply asked to name six horses to follow at the 24 meetings run in Wessex in 2008, with prizes for the three highest scorers. We are grateful to the Wessex Area Point-to-Point Secretaries Association (PPSA) and Weatherbys Chase for their generous sponsorship of the competition.
As an aid to entrants, a preview of the 2008 Wessex season will be posted on the Area website http://www.pointingwessex.co.uk towards the end of November. In addition, Weatherbys Chase are publishing their Point-to-Point Preview 2007/08 book (£9.50 plus p&p, ring 01933 304792, email orders@weatherbys.co.uk) which gives in-depth stable tours of all the leading yards nationwide at the end of November. The Racing Post Weekender Point-to-Point preview edition (28 November), the Horse & Hound Point-to-Point issue (29 November) and articles in the local press through December may also provide further useful information.
