VISIT BANGOR ON DEE POINT TO POINT RACES THIS BANK HOLIDAY

For this forthcoming bank holiday weekend why not treat the family to a great day out at the Flint & Denbigh Point to Point at Bangor on Dee Racecourse – Saturday 29th May.

Racing comes under starters orders at 2.00pm with the Miles Macadam Surfacing Open Maiden race followed by a full card of competitive racing including the Rathbones Mixed Open. Good entries are expected and races will be run on the purpose built right handed track with the finish in front of the public car park which is placed on a natural viewing bank.

With great viewing it’s been a tradition for many years, for racegoers to bring along a picnic, to watch the racing and share the experience with friends or alternatively you can enjoy the catering on offer. Cars can park very close to the track allowing a great view of the action so arrive early to get the best spot. Dogs are allowed on leads.

In addition to competitive racing there are excellent trade stands, children’s amusements, bars and bookmakers surrounding the main paddock area.

Ladies will also be treated to free entry into a fantastic Ladies Raffle with prizes from Alizari – International fashion clothing store, a spa day package from Spa by Kasia at the Grosvenor Pulford, a day’s hunting, champagne and chocolates.

Ed Gretton, Clerk of the Course says “Watering has started on the Point-to-Point track at Bangor-on-Dee in a bid to provide excellent racing conditions for the meeting on 29th.  The course is in great condition and with the watering programme, the aim is to be providing good, safe racing ground on the day”. The point to point has its own dedicated website www.bangorpoint2points.co.uk which will provide full information about the day and have up to date going reports listed.

Admission on the day to this popular course is £8.00 per pedestrian, £15.00 per car for one occupant or £25.00 per car for two or more occupants.

Once again, Carter Jonas - a national firm of Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants - are delighted to announce their continuing sponsorship of both Point-to-Point meetings, this is their fourth year of involvement with racing between the flags, following a very successful introduction to race sponsorship in 2007. With 18 offices in England and Wales and an increasingly diverse range of clients, Carter Jonas is able to offer expertise in a wide range of property matters.  The Shrewsbury office has specialist divisions for Rural Professional Work, Rural Agency, Planning & Development, Minerals & Waste Management and CAD & Mapping.
