Llangeinor
Laleston
Saturday 1st May 2010
by Brian Lee

Recent Welsh point-to-point meetings have been attracting good crowds and Saturday's Llangeinor fixture at Laleston, near Bridgend, is not expected to buck the trend.

A number of recent winners have been entered and these include Joan Williams's Galtee View, which landed the Welsh Point-To-Point 'Grand National' at the Pentyrch last weekend, Brett Lloyd's Roznic, a winner of his only two starts this season, William Tudor's Merthyrmawr, who gave local rider Amber Griffiths,19, her first winner in just six rides when winning the restricted at the recent Ystrad Taf Fechan meeting and David Brace's Its Danny Boy who beat Frenchfurze Lad at Bonvilston last Saturday.

Other well-known point-to-pointers entered include Micks Prospect,Silver Story, Rimini and Makena. Two to note in the maidens are What An Occasion and Synisterdexter.Racing gets under way with the members' race - for which there are 15 entries - at 2.p.m and an added attraction will be two pony races which will complete the card.
