More than 130 entries have been received at Bratton Down on Sunday for the six race card which begins at 2pm with the members. Arctic Sky, a winner at Vauterhill last month, is among the entries and is sure to be popular in the betting.
Harry Findlay’s Cappoquin is in the intermediate along with Johnnys Way and Princesse De Rome who has rattled up a couple of wins this season.
Amicelli has won a couple of decent open races this season and he could add to his haul in the men’s. Beau Supreme, the winner of a competitive confined race at the course is also entered.
The ladies’ race looks a cracking contest on paper with Rocklandslad, a winner of a decent ladies’ race at Woodford in April and Shernally, an impressive winner of three starts this season among those who could line up.
The Richard Barber-trained Bold Chief looks the one to beat in the restricted while in the maiden race Flying Phento and Eslin Bridge could run well.
Entrance is £20 per car and £10 per car and single occupant and the course is situated nine miles north east of Barnstaple on the A399 22 miles north of South Molton.
