BUMPER CARD FOR BITTERLEY THIS SUNDAY
The Ludlow Hunt point-to-point scheduled for this Sunday (11th) has attracted 182 entries, and there will be a minimum of eight races at the popular course.
The two-and-a-half mile maiden has already been split into two divisions ,and there is a possibility that other races may be divided on the day.
The inaugural Welsh Border Area Ladies Championship has a small but very select entry, and there is no doubt that the tussle for the revived Corvedale Cup will be a spirited one. The entries include Test of Friendship for Belinda Clarke, the sponsor, who has a successful point-to-point yard at Middleton Priors, near Bridgenorth.
The first race, the very competitive Hunt Members, will be off at 1.30pm, and with the current conditions, the going is expected to be good.
Entrance to the course is £10 per person, with children under 16 and car parking free. The venue (SY8 3HF) can be found just off the A4117, 4 miles north-east of Ludlow.
