Sandhurst Area has just two point-to-point meetings to complete the season’s programme. First of these is at Kingston Blount (M40 – Exit 6) on Saturday where seven races are scheduled starting at 2.00 pm.
Veteran rider, Tim Underwood, hopes to be in action for the first time this season following a health setback last spring. If he fails to pass the British Horseracing Authority’s Dr Michael Turner, his horse Long Courrier will be ridden in the Club Members Race by his contemporary in age Godfrey Maundrell.
Alresford trainer Victoria Collins, out of luck at Hackwood last Sunday, faces a busy weekend. She will run four horses at Kingston Blount, reunited with stable jockey Rilly Goschen, who was unable to be at Hackwood.
On Sunday Victoria has three runners at Little Windsor in Somerset, with Goschen in the saddle, while Selbourne rider John Maxse will partner his own Whereareyounow in a hunter chase at Stratford-upon-Avon.
