Parham point-to-point on Saturday (19th April) brings together the top amateur jockeys in the South East as the season draws to a close. The Ladies' Open is expected to feature Carryonharry, Nathos and Millenium Way in a provisional field of 15. All need points to stay in contention as the season's leading horse, but if Bee An Bee (Men's Open), who currently shares the lead with Merry Vic, can recover from a slight setback in time he is likely to go clear in the championship. Stuart Robinson, currently leading the race for the jockeys' title, is struggling to get several of his horses to the track.

Little Farmer, ridden by reigning champion Philip Hall, has won two from two at the course and, fit from team chasing, will feature in the Men's Open. Hall has the pick of Knockcarron and Delgany Gale in the Intermediate. Nick Pearce is booked for Jack's Present in the Members, Super Kay in the Intermediate and the unraced five-year-old Kommetjie in the Maiden. Lady champion Caroline Taylor is aboard Millenium Way and John The Mole, while this year's leader Heather Kemp has entries for Nathos, Sounds Good and Saddlers Cloth. Good ground is expected, which will particularly suit Indoux in the Members' race for novice riders.

Parham racecourse  is one mile west of Storrington on ther A283 in West Sussex. Admission prices are £30 or £25 per car, with concessions for single occupancy. The main card starts at 2.00pm, with pony racing taking place from 12.30.
