There are 111 entries for the Glamorgan Hunt Point-To-Point Steeplechases at Ystradowen near Cowbridge on Saturday.

 Racing gets under way at 1.p.m. with the young horse maiden and of the 27 entries the Abbi Vaughan trained six-year-old  Apocalozzo, who finished a distance ahead of CountryCousin in a division of the maiden at Howick last Saturday only to be disqualified  for going the wrong side of a marker, would be an obvious choice if coming under starter's orders. Miss Millfield and Livia are two others that could be considered.

  Of the 19 down to run in the aged maiden, James Isaac's Ragamax, who finished some seven lengths behind Check Up at Howick, has David Brace's Imperial Sam and Ross Farr's Billy Lane to beat.

 Tom David,17, has been in cracking form riding two winners over the Easter and he will be hoping he can win the confined on Koumba, a former winning inmate of Evan Williams's yard. However, with Hume Theatre, Little Ed, Margam Abbey and Twilight Dancer figuring amongst the 17 entries he faces a tough task.

   Recent winners Derring Dove, Margam Abbey and Lady Myfanwy are entered for the mixed open and only in their absence would Jack Rowsell's Red Man, a winner under Rules allbeit some time ago, would be the choice. This  eleven-year-old chesnut ran well to get within ten lengths of five times Howick course winner Loch Ennel last weekend.  

Presenting Star and and Silent Too look best in the intermediate for which there are eleven entries while the ones to watch in the restricted are Andrew Leyshon's Howick maiden winner Check Up, Joshua Squashuar and Bob Bites Back.
