The North Shropshire Hunt have attracted a bumper entry of 164 for their meeting at Eyton on Severn this Easter Monday March 24 th 2008, which is an increase of 28% on the corresponding meeting last year

Racing comes under starters orders at 1.00pm and is set to conclude at 4.40pm

Admission to this popular Shropshire course, which has been racing since 1923 is £25 per car regardless of the number of passengers with single occupancy charged at £15. As well as a good days racing in prospect there is also the fair for the younger generation, and for the grown ups there is an abundance of trade stands

Clerk Of the course John Beddoes lists the going as good to soft on Monday March 17 th 2008.

One of the feature races on the card is the Volkswagen Touareg Men’s Open, the first two horses past the judge qualify for the Volkswagen Touareg Men’s Championship hunter chase final at Towcester racecourse on Monday May 12 th 2008. Among the entries are the Julie Kinsey trained Would Wouldn’t, who is a fair pointer, the In The Tiff gelding dead heated with Lord Of The Hollow in a hunter chase at Huntingdon last month. With the likes of Whistling Straits, Magicien, Jakari, Adams Wine and Ballylusky in the line up, it looks a good race in prospect.
